"Democrats have made clear that their only agenda is the politics of personal destruction, and the criminalization of politics.
DeLay has built his entire career on the politics of personal destruction. There is a reason he got the nic-name "hammer." Now that the table have turned, he is complaining about it? He also said:
"They hate Ronald Reagan conservatives like DeLay and they hate that he is an effective leader who succeeds in passing the Republican agenda."
I'm sorry, but Tom DeLay is no Ronald Reagan Republican. I was not a big fan of Reagan, and I even find this to be an insult to Reagan.

Snicker. I haven't been following the whole DeLay saga because it is a saga and I know nothing about ethics rules and don't have the time to learn. I am still confused about the whole stamp thing, so there is no hope for me here at all.
All I can say to his comment and some of the people chasing him is that I think half the US citizens wish this matter could move to an ethics committee and that Congress could try to find time to read the bills they pass or sponsor. I know there are a lot of good, serious legislators in Congress but lately they don't seem to get any press, do they?
I think an awful lot of the mud-slinging (and there is some on both sides) is really a diversion from serious issues that neither party really wants to touch.
Did you see my last comment on Sigmund etc about Delay and "projection." I think the more desparate one gets the more it is used. He is saying about others what he can't about himself...but it has to come out somehow....almost like a natural law.
