Bush is once again trying to reverse the table on Senate Democrats who have been asking the White House for months to release papers to the Senate so they can finish up evaluating Bolton's alleged misuse of classified documents. Bush is claiming it is Senate Democrats who are delaying the floor vote, when it is actually Bush who is doing it. Democrats have pledged to have an up or down vote on Bolton as soon as the papers are released, but the White House refuses to budge. People continue to speculate that the papers, which deal with companies dealing with China, would be highly embarrassing to the Bush administration. You want an up or down vote Mr. President? Well, then stop stalling the nomination and release the papers.
