Operation: Rescue Boomr - Day Two

Maxed out Mama has actually departed her home to see if she can find Boomr and his clan. I have been unable to get through to his cell phone since last night, and I don't even know if he is getting the messages that I have left for him. Things are not good in anywhere in the area right now. There are reports of car jackings from Louisiana to Alabama. MoM is litteraly risking her life right now. So, everyone keep you fingers crossed and send your prayers and positive thoughts with MoM as she searches for them. It is people like MoM, and the millions like her, that make this such a great country.

Right now, I feel completely helpless in this whole affair. It is like when a space capsule goes to the dark side of the moon, I am just waiting to hear the crackle of the intercom once communication is re-established.

I'll keep this updated if I hear anything new.

Update: Have not heard from MOM or Boomr. Keep them in your prayers tonight.

Does MoM have a cellphone? I'm in her area (judging from her "location" entry in her blog.) Anyway, drop me an email if she needs reinforcements. Ok, I'm a mom with 2 kids, it probably won't be me. But I do have connections with a Birdman in Houston, and others scattered around. ::sigh:: I'm feeling the same sort of powerlessness and useless desire to help that I felt 9/12. I can write a check, but want to do more. This may be PI to say, but the # of people directly affected by Katrina is so many more than the # directly affected (lives & homes lost) by 9/11.

I don't have Mom's cell phone, but she has mine. I'll pass along the offer when I hear from her. Thanks Carson.

Praying for her, God bless her, and you, Dingo... you are the good friend to Boomr who has been the glue and the believer for the best.

God bless you,too.

Thanks Ilona, but I can't really take credit for anything. It is MOM who is doing all the work and taking all the risks.

My heart just breaks, you know? This wonderful brave woman.. I am praying that God's delivering angels are all around her and that she have good success in her mission.

And I won't argue with you further, but yes, you did your part.

found this info on the area Boomr may be-don't know if it is still useful to anyone:
http://www.realcities.com/mld/krwashington/12534456.htm "You could head south toward downtown Gulfport, passing by a demolished Bay Ice Company just north of the railroad tracks. But the trip ended one block south of the railroad tracks, with police cars preventing people from driving toward the Gulfport Grand Casino area.

Heading back north, we turned onto 15th Street to Old Pass Road. "
