From Maxed Out Moma, here is a list of agencies that are taking donations to help the victims - Hurricane Katrina Donations. Even if it is only $5, please give. So many of these people had so little to begin with.
As for Boomr (as well as some of my other friends) I have not yet heard anything, but that is to be expected at this point. I will let everyone know as soon as I hear anything. I know that he will be touched that everyone is so concerned about him. You can see how much of an impact he has had on y'all from just a couple months of blogging. Imagine the impact on someone who has gone to both college and law school with him. I couldn't even stay mad at him when he almost got us evicted.
I refuse to be anything to be anything but optimistic. After all, his mother still owes me a home cooked lasagna.

When you hear from Boomr be sure to tell him many prayers and good, positive wishes are going his way.
Many of us ladies are going to have some tears of relief when we hear he's OK. Odd how very connected one can feel during such times.
Thanks for your thoughts Ilona. I know you two have had some good discourse in the past months. I am sure there will be plenty more to come.
Dingo, when we hear the good news we will collect on the story of the almost-eviction. That should be good.
I agree - I feel sure that he is out there somewhere struggling along with the rest of them.
I can only assume when we do hear from him, he will need to organize a schedule for allwing us the priviledge of taking him out to dinner.
