Teach them well and let them lead the way... show them all the beauty they posses in siiiiiiiide... umm, sorry.

A couple of days ago, New York students who attended summer school were administered the Regents examination. Here are a few answers from "living
environment" test.

question: state one specific lont-term action that humas could take that might slow down or reduce the melting of the ice fields

answer 1: they can bring gallons and gallons of cold cold water and drop the water in the place.

answer 2: we could try to block the sun a little so it could help. try to make more shade.

answer 3: one specific long-term action that humans could take that
might slow down or reduce is to feed the polar bears.

answer 4: humans can build a cooler shelter for the polar bears.

And my favorite answer

answer 5: either shift the sun or have the weather institute change the weather.

Anything but conserve energy, right?

First I howled with laughter and then I sobered up and started thinking about the implications....

real as could be. These were only a few of the bad ones.

There was another question about why the wooly mammoths became extinct. One answer was because they were hunted for their "wool" (I do give a little credit for this since they are called a "wooly" mammoth). Another reason was because "a huge block of ice fell on them." There were a bunch more of the sort. I wish I could rememebr the ones about the moutian lions.

How old were these students? I need to know in order to have a proportional sense of incredulity.
