Are You Kidding Me?

ABC News' Karen Travers reports - Vice President Cheney responds to Duelfer report at town hall meeting in Miami, saying, "the headlines all say no weapons of mass destruction, no stockpile in Iraq, but we already knew that. The intriguing finding that Duelfer has come up with is the extent of corruption in the UN Oil for Food program,"

Are you kidding me?... You are trying to justify the war based on UN Oil for Food program corruption? I could care less if there was corruption. You and Bush have made us less safe. That's what I care about.

"As soon as the sanctions were lifted he had every intention of going back" to his weapons program, Cheney said.

So then we could have kept the sanctions on, been safe, and not lose American soldiers? And you would have done everything the exact same?

"Thus there was no reason to wait to invade Iraq to give inspectors more time to do their work," Cheney said.

But..

Hans Blix, said: "Had we had a few months more (of inspections before the war), we would have been able to tell both the CIA and others that there were no weapons of mass destruction (at) all the sites that they had given to us."

So, we could have kept the pressure on al Queda in Afghanistan, caught Bin Ladin and found out there were no WMDs? How the hell do you still have 45% of the American people supporting you? People, wake up!
