With Dick Cheney's Comedy Tour hitting Carroll, Ohio today, the big guy hit the stage in his best performance yet. The Veep evoked the possibility of terrorists bombing U.S. cities with nuclear weapons and questioned whether Sen. John Kerry could combat such a threat, which the vice president called a concept "you've got to get your mind around." He went on to say, "sure, Bush can't wrap him mind around it, but hey, that is why you are really voting for me and not him anyway... I got the smarts baby." Cheney's show went on from there, "The biggest threat we face now as a nation is the possibility of terrorists ending up in the middle of one of our cities with deadlier weapons than have ever before been used against us — biological agents or a nuclear weapon or a chemical weapon of some kind to be able to threaten the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans." Cheney added, "Sure, our administration has done nothing to confront nations like Iran or North Korea who are actually producing or are trying to produce nuclear weapons. I know there is actually more nuclear proliferation today then there was before we took office, but that is why we need to have a second term. We were just to preoccupied with other, more important things, during the first term. It is hard work destroying the environment... There is so much of it."
- Seriously, its scary how these guys will say anything. Quoting Jon Stewart, "Bush was saying, John Kerry's rhetoric doesn't match his record. But I've heard President Bush describe his record. His record doesn't match his record."
