Cheney Imagines Alternate Universe

CHENEY IMAGINES ALTERNATE UNIVERSE: "What if Kerry over the last 20 years had been casting the deciding vote instead of just being a senator?" Vice President Cheney asks in Fort Myers, FL.

We would be prosecuting Bin Laden, not Hussein. We would have affordable health care, educated students, a balanced budget. Americans would be debating the merits of pulling out of the BCS and not the Sunni Triangle. We would be securing our own borders instead of Iraq's. We would have ensured homosexuals share the same rights as every other American. We would be years closer to finding a cure for Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. We would have a social security system that was secure for another century. We would have 4 million less children in poverty. Most important, we would have over a thousand American soldiers sitting down with their families this thanksgiving, giving thanks for all the grace God has given us. But instead of all of that, we have Bush.
